For patients suffering from tooth decay, gum disease, or missing or weakening teeth, Dr. Schwartz and his team provide restorative services to help treat and rebuild teeth and gums. Whether filling cavities, placing a crown, or providing dentures, Dr. Schwartz works to achieve natural-looking results and the best oral health.
What if I have a cavity?
Cavities are common and occur when part of the tooth has decayed. At our practice, we use only composite fillings. Composite fillings match the color of your natural teeth. They are very durable and can be placed in one office visit.
What kind of dental crowns do you offer?
Crowns are basically a cap that cover the existing tooth, designed to restore the shape and size of your natural tooth. There are several types of crowns and we offer both gold and porcelain, as well as options that are more permanently implanted.
Crown procedures typically require two office visits. During the first visit an accurate mold is taken and the tooth (or teeth) are prepped for the crown. The final crown is placed during a separate office visit, ensuring that spacing and bite are accurate.
What if I need a bridge?
A dental bridge can be a great option for replacing one or more missing teeth. Bridges are typically made of porcelain fused to metal. The bridge is adjoined to anchor teeth on either side of the missing tooth, which is replaced with an artificial tooth. Getting a dental bridge requires two or more visits to complete.
What are my options for dentures?
Whether complete or partial, dentures provide a removable option for replacing missing teeth. Regular dentures are designed to rest on the gums, but we also offer implanted dentures that are supported by structures placed in the jaw.
Dentures require a number of office visits spanning several weeks, as it is important to ensure the proper fit, feel, and look.
